Clean-lined, precise and pleasingly graphic, the BK10 dining chair looks as good indoors as it does outside — which is exactly what Bodil Kjær intended. Designed in 1959 as part of her architecturally inspired Indoor-Outdoor Series, its proportions were conceived to relate to the surrounding environment, whether that’s a garden terrace or a dining room.

Made from solid teak, the Cubist-inspired chair features a fine, linear appearance despite its sturdy construction. The inclined seat and back are comfortable without being soft, with armrests, legs and runners mortised together to form two squares — a detail realised through expert craftsmanship. The teak will patinate beautifully over time, developing the silver-grey tone that makes aged teak so distinctive.
